LightStim LED Light Therapy
An at-home LED light therapy machine-like LightStim LED light therapy for wrinkles is a good start. This home LED device can be used daily and includes a peptide anti-aging serum to be applied before using the device.
LED stands for Light Emitting Diode, which is a tiny computer chip encased in glass. Each LED wavelength (colour) of light provides unique therapeutic benefits. LED is non-invasive, painless and requires no recovery time.
This Light is good for all skin types and is engineered to emit a soothing, gentle warmth. LightStim for Wrinkles has 72 LEDs of Amber, Light Red, Dark Red, and Infrared. The different colours produce different results. For example blue light is great for acne which kills bacteria that live on the skin).
Incorporate this into your home skincare routine or follow the DIY facials we have suggested below.
DNC skin inject skin roller
This device is an at-home skin needling treatment. It utilises 600 gamma-sterilised, microneedles to effectively and visibly rejuvenate and regenerate the skin’s own natural healing response.
The independently rotating disks with advanced silicon suspension system provide the most comfortable and beneficial treatment possible, whilst reducing procedure downtime.
The benefits of at-home rolling are an increase in collagen production, you can infuse your cosmeceutical skincare serums deeper within the skin, it can assist with anti-ageing, enlarged pores, pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles and provide a general refreshed, revived and awakened complexion.
It can be used up to 3 times a week.
Roll the device over thoroughly cleansed skin in a hashtag # motion then follow with appropriate serum. We’ve put together some suggestions on how to incorporate this into your daily skincare routine below.
At-home skincare routines you should follow
Once you have purchased your at-home gadgets the fun begins, by incorporating them into your at-home DIY facial.
These facials can be performed at home once a week using either the LED light or the Skin Roller.
Add this LED Facial to your skincare routine
Cleanse skin with a deep cleanser such as Medik8 Surface Radiance cleanser
Follow with a manual scrub such as Dermaquest Algae polish, gently massage onto dry skin and rinse off well.
Use an enzyme exfoliant (your skin will feel amazing after doing both types of exfoliating). We recommend using (as per instructions) Aspect Fruit Enzyme Mask.
Apply the ‘peptide serum’ that comes with the LightStim kit and use the device as per instructions.
Finish off by applying Aspect Probiotic Sleep Mask. This mask contains probiotics for the skin that assists with hydration and balance leaving you with super smooth skin. The mask can be left on overnight or removed after 20 mins and followed with appropriate moisturiser.
A great moisturiser for all skin types is the Aspect Super Moisturising Complex. It’s hydrating and contains antioxidants to protect the skin.
NOTE: For sensitive skin, change the cleanser to Cosmedix Benefit Clean Cleanser and omit the scrub. Use Fruit Enzyme Mask as an exfoliant instead.
Try this at-home roller facial
You can use the home roller up to 3 times a week but once a week you could incorporate it into a facial.
Cleanse your skin with a deep cleanser such as Cosmedix Purity clean cleanser.
Follow with a manual scrub such as Dermaquest Algae polish, gently massage onto dry skin and rinse off well.
Use an enzyme exfoliant (your skin will feel amazing after doing both types of exfoliating) I recommend using as per instructions Aspect Fruit enzyme Mask $59. Remove well.
Ensure face is thoroughly clean and start using DNC Skin inject dermal roller as per instructions. Apply appropriate serum. For those that are not sensitive and have been using retinol for a while applying a retinol serum such as PCA Intensive Age Refining Serum afterwards, increases penetration of the product. (It may sting a little).
(If you are not wanting to use a retinol you can also apply a peptide serum like Societe Intense Firming Complex to focus on lines and wrinkles. Cosmedix Clarity Serum is good if you have breakouts or Medik8 Hydr8 B5 serum increases hydration and plumps the skin).
Follow with Societe Peptide Sheet Mask, leave on for 20 minutes then massage in remaining product and follow with a moisturiser.
NOTE: For sensitive skin, I would not recommend home dermal rolling.
These facials are a good start and will definitely take your home skincare routine to the next level.
